The Ministry of Rural Development and Food is accepting applications from fishing and aquaculture businesses, eligible for compensation related to the activation of Measure 3.4.3 of the Operational Program for Fisheries and Maritime 2014-2020 (EPALTH). The compensation is related to lost income and additional costs incurred due to the market disruption caused by the war in Ukraine and its impact on the supply chain of the two industries. The closing date for applications is Wednesday, March 15 2023.

Commercial enterprises or individuals operating in the fishing or aquaculture industries are eligible to compensation, provided that they operate legally, both on the date of application, and throughout the period for which compensation is provided: from 24/2/2022 until 31/12/2022. This compensation ranges from €6 up to €385 per day of fishing activity for fishermen and €150 per ton of fish food procured and consumed during that period for businesses in the aquaculture industry.
